Flink Maswick Law PLLC is a growing law firm with offices in Lake Placid and Tupper Lake and a satellite location in Albany. The firm is comprised of seven attorneys, including full-time and those serving in an of counsel role, handling litigated matters and transactions throughout New York State. The attorneys of Flink Maswick have over 120 years of legal experience between them, with the legal practice levels ranging from newly admitted to nearly 45 years.

Associate Attorneys

Fast-paced, technologically savvy, high-volume general law practice in Lake Placid, NY seeks an associate attorney who is compassionate, highly motivated, and interested in practicing law in the Adirondacks. While living in the Adirondacks is a lifestyle preference, the right candidate will be given the opportunity for professional growth and reaching their full potential by working closely with the partners in the firm in a variety of areas, including personal injury, litigation, insurance defense, matrimonial and family court, criminal matters, estate matters, and real estate. The right candidate will have the freedom to explore their personal areas of interest while supporting experienced attorneys at the same time. 


Responsibilities will include handling pleadings, discovery, medical record analysis, legal research, court appearances, conducting hearings and depositions, and working directly with clients and other attorneys. Ultimately, the firm is seeking a recent law graduate who has been admitted to the NYS Bar through five years of experience with distinguished academic credentials, excellent communication, writing, and research skills, who, with appropriate training, experience, and hard work will be committed to the firm, its clients and the community. The firm offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Administrative/Real Estate Assistant -

Lake Placid, NY

Flink Maswick Law PLLC, a law firm with offices in Lake Placid, Tupper Lake and Albany, seeks candidates for a full-time legal assistant in Lake Placid. This position will have a real estate focus, and the candidate will work on other administrative matters regularly such as client business and service dictate. It is critically important for the candidate to be able to take instruction and direction and to work independently with oversight.


Responsibilities include all aspects of handling real estate transactions, including but not limited to:

  • drafting documents,
  • preparing statements of sale and closing disclosures,
  • updating abstracts,
  •  preparing transfer documents,
  • communicating with clients, attorneys, municipal offices, taxing authorities,
  • title companies, banks, and other professionals.

Other tasks will include:

  • processing/scanning mail,
  • identifying legal documents,
  • answering, screening, and forwarding incoming phone calls,
  • organizing and scheduling of appointments and meetings,
  • assist with aspects of LLC formation and other entity formation,
  • filing of Biennial statements,
  • drafting annual and special meeting minutes,
  • chronologizing medical records,
  • drafting letters and correspondence and medical authorizations,
  • other tasks as they arise.

This is a full-time position with hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break daily, Monday-Friday. Compensation is $21.00 - $35.00 per hour, heavily dependent upon experience, and includes paid parking and a competitive benefits package.


While some real estate/or law firm experience is preferred, we would be happy to train the right candidate and provide ongoing support while you learn. The right candidate will not view this as a job but a stepping-stone to a career, as growth and development are valued, appreciated, and rewarded at Flink Maswick.
